PEARL IZUMI
Pearl iZumi is a global leader in cycling apparel, serving riders across every category—from road and mountain to commuter and triathlon. Their migration from Hybris to Shopify Plus allowed us to deliver a more flexible, efficient platform while elevating both the customer experience and the brand’s storytelling.
We reimagined the site’s navigation to convey a richer, more cohesive brand narrative. New brand and inspiration sections in the main menu showcase Pearl iZumi’s product breadth, highlight core brand values, and create a more guided shopping experience, including visibility into their ambassador community. An enhanced product taxonomy and improved collection filtering make it easier for customers to discover the right gear for their needs, while a redesigned product page presents clearer information about each item’s performance across different riding conditions.
A key usability challenge was communicating fit—a critical factor in cycling apparel, where sizing and fit types vary by riding style. The new experience provides riders with clearer, more intuitive fit guidance, helping them choose the right product with confidence.
